Adam Gilbert

Mt. Pleasant, SC

Local Mt. Pleasant artisan Adam Gilbert uses a variety of raw and repurposed metals from around the Lowcountry to create hand-hammered artistic designs. His simple workplace includes a hundred-year-old anvil and vise that sit atop a large oak stump. Using his hand-built forge, Adam honors the tradition of old-fashioned blacksmithing ways. He is a member of the Phillip Simmons Artistic Blacksmithing Guild of South Carolina, has a long history of metal fabrication, and graduated from Wyotech in 2003. As a do-it-yourself guy, Adam enjoys the challenge of building and refurbishing his own tools. Products are built to last and, as gifts, are sure to make an impression.
