Stacey Green is a fused glass artist and paper crafter living in McClellanville South Carolina. She grew up in New Zealand and has lived in the lowcountry for almost 30 years. Creating with glass and paper has always been an important part of her life. She loves the way that a flat piece of glass can be manipulated with the heat of a kiln and turned into a functional or beautiful piece of art. Or that the gift of a handmade notecard can bring a smile to the receiver. Stacey’s work is heavily influenced by nature, particularly the coast. She is known for her glass jelly fish, waves, turtles and glass succulents. She also loves to create her own molds from real objects such as shells and starfish from which she recreates in glass using glass powders.
