Through layered textural effects and pops of color, Carrie’s hand-built ceramic sculptures invite you to explore her quirky and whimsical world. A lifelong fascination of faces and portraiture has led Carrie to the development of Kruffles, a line of fantasy sculpture that she creates for pure amusement. The textures, along with layers of oxide stains and glazes, give her work a crude, yet playful expression.
Carrie is a freelance art handler who coordinates exhibition design and art installation in museums, galleries and private homes. Finding time for her own practice making sculpture is a fun and rewarding experience that helps her escape from everyday life.
