Porcelain and Stoneware Clay

My work begins on the potters wheel.  I love lifting and forming clay into what becomes a favorite mug or cereal bowl.  It gives me real pleasure when someone tells me that a pot I made is something they use every day.  I use natural subjects, like the birds and flowers that I see in my backyard, to decorate my pots.  Firing in a gas reduction atmosphere brings out the whiteness and translucency of the porcelain clay and the dynamic movement in glazes.
