Whether you visit the Charleston Crafts Co-Op Gallery at 84 North Market or the Online Store, the artwork is always fresh and original. Each week artists deliver new items to both selling venues and the monthly blog, Facebook & Instagram feature what is ‘here and now’.

The gallery is staffed daily by an artist/member of the Co-Op. If you see an item of interest on the blogOnline Store, Facebook or Instagram please call and the ‘artist’ of the day will be happy to help with your purchase. 843.723.2938

The February featured artist is environmental folk artist, Deane Valentine-Bowers, . Deane’s use of ‘found’ and salvaged items gives new meaning to “One person’s trash is another person’s treasure!!!”

Our New Home…84 N Market

Posted by on Oct 8, 2019 in Artists & Their Work, News | Comments Off on Our New Home…84 N Market

When Charleston Crafts started planning the 30th anniversary celebration in January, the Co-Op members had no idea that the year would also bring a move to 84 N Market.

Years ending with 9 appear to be pivotal in our history. In 1989 Hurricane Huge slammed into Charleston several weeks after the gallery opened. 1999 brought Hurricane Floyd and a mandatory evacuation of Charleston. In 2009, the gallery was settling into it’s Church Street location… our home for over 10 years. 2019 brings us to a new home, 84 N Market, in the heart of the historic and market districts.

Scroll through the photos below to view work from some of the 41 members of Charleston Crafts. While our location may have changed, our mission to provide a juried gallery for local artists featuring traditional and contemporary art and craft remains the same.
