Tanya enjoys creating colorful, one-of-a-kind fused glass pieces. A primarily self taught fused glass artist, she leans to the “bright and colorful” in her work, sometimes with graphics and sometimes with abstract layering.
Fused glass is created through a technique of layering glass pieces, then melting or “fusing” them in a kiln. Tanya begins each piece with the underside layer, which is signed. She then turns this base “blank” over and starts the layering and decorating process, often fuse firing the piece several times as layers are added.
